I want to sleep. I enjoy this class yet I still need to practice my reading speed. I am a slow reader. That is  basically what I found difficult in the first four weeks. I am excited in general. I decided to study Japanese because I enjoy the language. The European ones got a bit tiresome to do since they blend with each other a lot. And Arabic was like...yeah. But I am excited for this class.

  4. I sympathize with the reading speed. I wish my eyes registered the differences between the characters faster, but I think that it's something that will happen with time.

Well my roommate is currently taking Arabic classes right now and, even as a native speaker, she thinks that it's incredibly hard. I think, personally at least, that I prefer learning Asian or European languages to other ones is that either the grammar is a little easier (Asian languages) or the vocabulary is a little easier (European languages). When it comes to something like Arabic, both are more difficult than English and it requires a constant awareness of what you're saying.

    がんばってね。ファイト!

  5. セグラさん、

    こんにちは。はじめまして、TAのさとうです。
Sounds like you have a busy schedule! What kind of work do you have? Is it a fun job? It takes time first to read smoothly, but I agree with サバドさん、You will be better if you keep practicing! You wrote so much in Japanese already; Good luck!
